The Buses are coming!
  • Completion is scheduled for late 2004.
  • Bus Park and Ride with 12-16 buses every hour,  daily from 5AM -Midnight
  • Where the Drive-In is parking for 1,200 cars!!!
  • Estimated 25-30,000 rider per day
  • They have upgraded and purchased new clean burning buses.
  • A 4-lane Road behind us at the RR tracks from Haskell to Sepulveda is to be installed.
  • An at-grade crossing at Sepulveda to allow the buses to continue down the RR right-of-way.  Synchronized signals with Erwin and Oxnard, as well as left turn lanes and lights on Erwin.
  • Small median to impede left turn vehicles out of the lot to drive down Erwin to Orion.
  • Plans are on-going.  The latest idea by MTA to reduce traffic on our streets is to install Q-sticks (like in front of Costco) at the entrance from Victory so that NO ONE can turn right from Victory on to Orion.
